HuskySpot is built on real experience, not just research. If you live with a Siberian Husky (or any of the husky types we cover), we want to hear what actually happened—the wins, the disasters, the things no guide prepared you for.
How to Contribute
- Email your story to story@huskyspot.com with the subject "Husky Story".
- Include your husky's name, age, and a one-line location (city/country).
- Write 200-600 words about a real moment: a training breakthrough, a health scare, a funny habit, a product that actually worked.
- Attach a photo if you have one (optional but loved).
Selected stories are published here with your byline and a short bio. Contributors whose stories we publish receive a $25 Amazon gift card as a thank-you. We never edit your voice beyond light grammar cleanup, and you can stay anonymous if you prefer.

Koda is my first husky and nobody warned me about the velcro phase. For three weeks he followed me from room to room and screamed if I closed a door. What finally worked wasn't a trainer—it was leaving for 30 seconds, coming back, repeating, slowly stretching it to five minutes. By week two he started settling on his own. I wish I'd known that the panic was normal and not a sign I'd ruined him.
Our two huskies destroyed three harnesses in a month before we found one with a real buckle, not a plastic clip. The cheap ones popped open the second they hit the end of the leash at a full pull. Spent the money on a reinforced front-clip and haven't lost a harness since. If your husky is an escape artist, stop buying the $15 ones—we learned that the expensive way.
